It feels like this time every year we have new golf clubs land on our shelves, and they just keep getting better and better!
One of the best reasons to look forward to each new year is the release of new golf clubs! Plenty of you will be wondering where the past 12 months have gone, and when you feel that last year’s model still feels fairly fresh in your golf bag, you may be sceptical of just how much better 2025's irons can be.
Well, 12 months is a long time of R&D in the golfing world. Each season brings fresh feedback, data, and innovation, and Mizuno is on top of their game when it comes to refining and enhancing their golf gear. Today we want to walk you through the very latest Mizuno golf irons for 2025 and explain what makes them such an asset to have in the bag.
Without further ado, feast your eyes on the brand-new JPX925 Forged and Pro S-3 irons!
Innovating and changing thigs up with every release, Mizuno has updated their latest irons inside and out. The JPX925 iron has made plenty of aesthetic changes when compared to the previous JPX923 clubs.
When you take a look on the back of the clubhead, you’ll notice that Mizuno has made the conscious decision to shift the lettering on ‘Forged’ diagonally to fit with the style of the three-tiered cavity back. The model name has also moved from the back cavity to the hosel, allowing the Mizuno brand logo to take center stage. The design is certainly bold and inspiring, but while the new 2025 golf iron is nice to look at, how does it feel to play with?
Mizuno is renowned for making irons that both look and feel amazing, and it’s the tech under the hood you have to thank for helping your approach shots land right where you want them to.
With an updated CORTECH design, the JPX925 Forged irons allow for greater distance while providing the same iconic Mizuno feel. The Contour Ellipse face has been fully reconstructed to achieve greater forgiveness. This new face feels fantastic having been brought to live through Mizuno’s unparalleled Grain Flow Forged HD crafting process.
First impressions with the JPX925 Forged are... stunning.
Similarly impressive is the sole on the JPX925 Forged. The triple cut sole has been meticulously engineered to enhance turf interaction, giving players more versatility across varying lies and conditions. Whether you’re hitting out of the rough or a sand trap, this iron will help you power through your strike to get your ball back on target.
To put it simply, the new JPX925 irons really do feel as good as they look, and their performance is stellar. This iron sits comfortably within the JPX925 range, and regardless on the kind of golfer you are, there’s an iron in the range for you.
We’ve now given you a good idea of what makes the JPX925 Forged irons tick, and they’re a joy to play with time and again. Every iron in the set has been designed to get you the most out of your shot, with the longer irons featuring a Chromoly 412 material that accentuates strength and speed, and the shorter irons being made of a softer 1025E Carbon Steel for a greater control.
The standard Hot Metal entry in the JPX925 range offers a little more forgiveness than its forged counterpart. With a One-piece seamless cup face, this iron gives you fast ball speeds while a stability frame improves control while maintaining forgiveness.
Offering excellent ball speeds while retaining premium Mizuno aesthetics, the Hot Metal Pro has a more compact clubhead to please discerning golfers with faster swing speeds. The club even features Harmonic Impact Tech comprised of acoustic sound ribs across the top edge to improve both impact sound and feel.
The most forgiving iron in the JPX925 range, the High Launch offers exactly that. Players that pick up this iron will be treated to a club that has a deeper center of gravity that makes it very easy to pop the ball up in the air. Featuring a lot of the great tech found in the other JPX925 irons, the High Launch offers a lot of forgiveness even on off-center strikes.
Should you be a skilled golfer, the brand-new Pro S-3 irons will certainly strike your fancy. This iron has been made using Mizuno’s iconic Gran Flow Forging process that makes the iron feel super responsive when you strike the ball. A copper underlay further accentuates this amazing feel, and a compact clubhead allows for excellent workability. This iron has the looks, the charm, and there’s no doubt it will serve you well on the golf course.
You can see these fantastic irons in the pro shop right now! It’s a great time to get to grips with new 2025 golf irons ahead of the warmer months, why not pop in and take them for a swing?
